Year 7 played a friendly game on 6th March against Abertillery Comprehensive and came away with an impressive 5-1 victory.
The Ebbw Fawr team dominated throughout against spirited opposition. Playing on a fantastic 3G surface really allowed the boys to play the quality football of which they are capable and they were supremely confident in passing the ball around. The only real criticism was maybe at times they tried to play ‘too much’ football instead of putting the ball in the back of the net.
The goal scorer’s were Sam Phillips, Iestyn Gwilliam, Ben Pearce and Jack Steele (2). The Man of the Match award was shared between goalkeeper Mason Bartlett who pulled off a number of outstanding saves and Ieuan Evans who was superb at the heart of the defence. Jack Annett captained the team.
Their new record for the season is seven victories from eight matches with their only defeat coming in the Welsh Cup.
Da iawn boys!.
