Estyn have notified us that the school will be inspected between the 1st – 5th February 2016. This will be the first inspection of an All Through School undertaken in Wales. Parents can contribute to the inspection in two ways:
- Attendance at the parents “Meet the Inspectors” meeting to be held on Monday 1st February at 5.00pm to 6.00pm in the primary site main hall We strongly recommend that parents attend this meeting to provide their views on the life of the school.
- Parents also have the opportunity to complete a questionnaire online from http://vir.estyn.gov.uk using the access code that will be sent home and by text later this week. This questionnaire is confidential to Estyn and is not seen by the School. Alternatively, a hard copy can be provided on request from the school reception, these should be returned in a sealed envelope or posted to Estyn via “Freepost Estyn” Should parents wish to complete online the school can make IT equipment available if required. All questionnaires have to be submitted by Friday 15th January. The school will send out reminders via text early next week.
Learners will have their opportunity to inform the inspectors during group meetings and a random sample of approx. 250 secondary students and 100 primary students will complete a questionnaire online next week. The inspection report is due to be published on the 8th April 2016, copies will be made available to parents during the following week via the school and Estyn websites with hard copies available on request.
