Thank you for your cooperation today regarding the partial closure caused by a problem with the secondary phase site’s water. The decision to shut the school for any period of time is never taken lightly, however the health and safety of our pupils and staff must always come first and in this instance it was necessary to close the school in order to minimise any risk to them.
I would like to thank all students for leaving the site in an orderly fashion and particular thanks to parents who collected their children in a calm and supportive way.
The cause of the problem has now been completely fixed and a new system installed, which should mean that this type of occurrence will not happen again in the future.
Our secondary site is fully up-and-running and ready to provide the best education we can to all our pupils and the school is open as usual tomorrow – 9 March 2016.
