Tuesday 12th December
Dear students,
Just a quick note to explain the thinking behind our decision to declare the secondary phase open for Years 10 and 11.
The site is safe for 2 year groups. All paths have been cleared, however there is limited yard space and so we have to reduce the number of students in school.
There are no buses to Ebbw Fawr tomorrow so clearly if you can’t make it in then your attendance will not be affected.
However if you can make it in it could be an ideal opportunity to work within a small group or individual basis with staff. Many of you have Welsh Baccalaureate work to catch up on and this might be a good day to do it. You probably won’t have another day with only 2 year groups in school. Again many of you have January exams and I want you to have the best possible chance of passing.
In order to ensure that nobody has to travel or walk in the dark the school will begin at 9.30.
Please take the best decision for you. It could be a great opportunity to get some essential work done.
Mr Lloyd – Headteacher
