Ebbw Fawr now offers a full immersive 360 degree virtual tour of our Secondary Phase campus. You can explore the school from top to bottom, check out our facilities and navigate your way around classrooms and corridors as though you were in the School.
With the help of BBC bitesize, we have put together some great resources to help you better understand about secondary school life
Students are encouraged to take part in the many extra-curricular activities which exist at Ebbw Fawr.
There is a very strong tradition of music, drama and sporting excellence.
A variety of educational visits are organised which include, foreign visits, skiing, and field-work to support the curriculum as well as an extensive Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. This involves completing four different sections: volunteering, physical activity, skills and expedition, all of which have their own challenges.
We are committed to a broad fund raising programme in support of local, national and international charities.
Ebbw Fawr Senydd is the democratic forum for learners to actively engage with pupil voice and contribute to school improvement. In 2018 the school rebranded and modernized the original school council by looking towards a Welsh Government model for capturing our students’ passion for democracy. The students enjoy facilitating a new platform for them to engage with all aspects of school life.
The school Senedd consists of three levels of learner leadership; 86 Senedd Form Representatives, 16 Senedd Cabinet members and a Senedd Leader and Deputy leader of the whole Senedd. The Senedd prides itself on being inclusive, with representatives from all year groups and all equality groups. This allows an opportunity to reach out to the whole school to capture the wide views of learners for everyone to have their voice heard. The Senedd Cabinet provides leadership and development opportunities to our students and the responsibility to make decisions which impacts on them. The Senedd Cabinet meets on a weekly basis to discuss current topics and issues and are always on hand to chat to students and list their opinions.
If you would like to get involved, elections for Year 7 will begin in October.
Follow the life of a Ebbw Fawr Pupil through their journey in a 3-16 all-through school.
